FERNDALE, Wash. — Green River Cross Country had a strong showing in Saturday's 52nd Annual Bill Roe Classic.
In the women's 6k race,
Abigail Collier crossed the finish line in 31st place with a time of 23:19.9 minutes.
Sophia Guerrero strided to a 30:41.6 finish.
Guerrero bested her time from last week by over 40 seconds.
In the men's 8k race,
Beckett Sias was the top GRC runner, as he completed the course in 26:47.5 minutes.
Cannon Ross was next for the men; he clocked in at 29:02.0, after that was
Joseph Cruz of Dupont, Washington. He checked in at 29:28.2.
Cayden Strawn followed as he registered a time of 31:09.2.
Aiden Keavney rounded out the GRC runners, covering the length of the course in 33:14.4.
Sias improved his time by over 45 seconds, Ross improved by 17 seconds, and Strawn shaved over two minutes off his time from PLU last weekend.
Next up for GRC is the Emerald City Open in two weeks. The race takes place in Seattle at Lower Woodland Park. The meet is hosted by Club Northwest.
