Tukwila, Wash. — Green River found themselves in the win column once again Wednesday morning at the NWAC Friendlies. An 8:00 a.m. PST kickoff had the Gators in peak performance scoring four first half goals en route to a 5-0 defeat of the Lakers from Southwestern Oregon.

Freshman Jazmyne DuBose got the scoring started in the 11th minute with an assist from Flordia Native, Ali Ortega.

Over the next 20 minutes of match action GRC tacked on three more goals.

Luci Ramey, of Auburn Mountainveiw High School, knocked in two unassisted netters in the 19th and 31st minute. Those sandwiched a goal from Natalya Hiffaker in the 22nd minute, Audrey Bartlett provided the assist. 

Late in the second half Oretga notched her first career collegiate goal off a pass from Alani Escareno to make the score 5-0.

Olivia Blavka recorded her second straight shut out. 

The black and green last defeated SWOCC on August 22nd, 2023 by a score of 2-0. A game also played at the NWAC Friendlies. 

The Gators now look towards an exhibition match at Wenatchee Valley on August 27th before returning home for their west-region opener versus Pierce on September 2nd.
